Reducing CO2 at home
Ventilation is the most effective method of lowering CO2 levels in your house. Diluting indoor air with outside air keeps CO2 concentrations from growing too high because CO2 levels are typically lower outdoors. There are two options for accomplishing this:
CO2 levels can be reduced by installing and maintaining an effective ventilation system. The CO2 will naturally dilute and become less concentrated as the system draws in new outside air, keeping the inside CO2 levels within safe limits.
If you open a window or even keep the bedroom door open, you can sleep better. When you sleep, you exhale carbon dioxide. By keeping the door open, you increase the amount of air that dilutes the gas. This will lower the amount of CO2 in your room, which studies have shown to keep the air fresher so you can sleep better and perform better the next day.
